Bison hunts are available on public land in Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Alaska and Alberta. Bison permits are difficult to draw in the states, and the hunting is physically difficult and dependent upon rough weather in Alberta. The other option is to hunt on private ranches in South Dakota and Colorado. This is your best bet if you want to kill a bison and don't want to wait possibly a lifetime to draw a tag.
