Have a touch of cabin fever? A pair of outfitters in Alberta are offering an inexpensive black bear hunt in the hills along the Panther River north of Calgary. You also can hunt wolves and coyotes at the same time. One of the two outfitters has killed a wolf in the area. There will be only two hunters in camp.
"It will take a lot of glassing and walking," one of the outfitters said, "but my partner and I intend for this to be a fun and enjoyable hunt. There will be some good food, and there are definitely some good bears to be had in there. Also, we can throw in a little trout fishing on the Panther River, and I wouldn't think it would be too hard to catch some 15 and 16-inch trout. Just before this hunt, we will have spent two weeks in there, scouting for a week, and then hunting with a single hunter we already have booked for another week, and so we should know exactly where to hunt when this hunt starts. We are going to have fun and go hunting."
