Cougar hunt on private land in southern Colorado

Here's a unique cat hunt for an excellent price. You'll hunt on foot in areas where the outfitter consistently finds cougar tracks, and if you'll shoot the first legal cat he trees, a five-day hunt is only $2,500. Plus, if you don't get one and can come back for a couple of days when there's fresh snow, he'll take you again. If you want to hold out for a trophy cat, letting the hounds out only if the track indicates a big, old tom, then the hunt is $3,500. Our outfitter operates on more than 100,000 acres of deeded ground where the ranchers want the cougars killed. The outfitter doesn't like to use horses on this hunt because in the past he always found himself having to hike back to get the horses after the day's hunt. Now he likes to work with another

guide, and they usually have two pickup trucks, leaving one at the end of a ridge and taking the other to the starting point. You do not have to draw a tag to take this hunt. Hunt ML3841.
