High success Utah trophy elk hunt on big ranch |

|
This elk hunt has been one of our best producers. It takes place on a 20,000-acre ranch where we have been sending hunters since 1986. The ranching family runs this rifle hunt during the rut in September, when the bigger bulls are bugling and easy to locate. Hunter success is 95 to 100% on nice bulls. Most hunters take bulls scoring 290 to 310 B&C, and the bigger bulls each year typically score 320 to 350. The antler size has been climbing because the state has changed their management strategy on bordering public land. It used to be an open unit, meaning any bull was legal game, but now public land hunters must draw a coveted special tag to hunt mature bulls. The lower hunting pressure has really helped. The hunt takes place only on private deeded acreage.

There are nice cabins for loding. The property has a very high number of elk and hunters get to see plenty of bulls. This hunt is not extremely physical and is a good place for older hunters to take a trophy by fair chase.
Typically you must book this hunt well in advance because so many hunters repeat. The price for 2002 might be a bit higher, but you can reserve a slot now with the opportunity to back out if the price climbs too high. Hunt EK3430GE. |
