New Mexico Trophy Elk on Private Ranch

Both these elk were taken last year on a New Mexico ranch that is NOT high-fenced. One opening is left for this month, and it's being offered at a $3,000 discount. The elk above qualified for Boone and Crockett as a non-typical, scoring 398 6/8 gross and 389 4/8 net. The bottom bull grossed 374. The only other hunter last year was a 14-year-old who missed the big non-typical several times as well as another huge bull. He ended up taking a smaller bull at the end of the hunt. The outfitter has three tags again this year and has already filled one of them on another bull that scores in the 360s with a second hunter on the property this week. If you want to hunt later this month, you can take the last opening at the reduced price of $8,000 (normally $11,000). Motel lodging and meals are included. The hunt takes place on private property in Unit 37. The ranch was not hunted until 1999 and 2000, closed in '01 and '02, reopened last year. Ask about Hunt EK914.
