Note: To talk with any of the outfitters whose hunts are listed, you need a Hunter Service Contract. All information on this web site and our written literature is provided under the condition that the customer accepts our terms. We work on a commission, which is included in the price of the hunt except in special and rare cases. All prices are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted. Most hunt prices do not include license, tags, butcher and taxidermy fees, sales taxes or transportation between the hunter's home and the site where you'll meet the outfitter. Some hunts include shuttle service from the nearest airport. Prices and availability are subject to change. Statistics are typically supplied by hunt providers. All information should be verified by the customer.

Exotics near Laredo, Texas

Hunt four species of exotic game at the same time on a ranch near Laredo, Texas, at an excellent price. If you can assemble a group of three hunters, you each can take all of the following for a total of $3,000:

  • Oryx from 25 to 32 inches
  • Blackbuck averaging 24 inches
  • Mouflon sheep in the 24 to 28-inch range
  • Feral hog averaging 175 pounds and some bigger.

Or you can take the following for $1,500 if you have two hunters or more:

  • Mouflon sheep
  • Wild boar
  • Rio Grande turkey

If you can put together a group, you'll save a great deal on this package when compared with those offered by better-known ranches in the area.

Bunkhouse accommodations are included. Meals are not included, but you can eat at restaurants in Crystal City about 20 minutes away, or you can cook your own meals in the bunkhouse, which includes a kitchen.

Hunter success should be 100% on the oryx, mouflon and blackbuck, and the success on hogs will depend on how many animals are on the ranch during your stay and on the size pig you want.

The ranch is 1,000 acres and is behind high fence, but the pigs come and go as they please, digging under the fence. The bunkhouse accommodates as many as six hunters.

"Last year an attorney hit and lost a feral boar that he sad was as big as a refrigerator sideways," the rancher said. "He shot right through it with a .30/06, but we couldn't find it until a few days after he left. It measured 6 1/2 feet from nose to tail and probably weighed 475 to 525 pounds. It had a huge head on it, and the skull will make a fine trophy.

"Even though the ranch is quite brushy in places, we don't normally lose game, but this pig was so big that it took a lot of punishment and still got quite aways. The typical size of pigs on the ranch depends, but we do not have any javelina because the hogs push them out. We have a diminishing whitetail population because the hogs eat the fawns.

"We mostly have adult male hogs on the one ranch. Average size is 150 to 200 pounds. As for the other animals, we have very productive herds, and we usually produce a lot of the game for other ranches in our area, including two of the best-known exotic game ranches. We've decided to save the animals for our own hunters this year.

"Our customers will have excellent hunting for high-quality animals that they would pay a lot more to hunt on other ranches."

Single-species hunts are available, and prices typically vary according to trophy size.
