You have the option of adding a mule deer to your hunt. Most bowhunters have a 50 percent chance of taking a deer, the outfitter said.

"Bucks average 150 to 160," he said. "The last two we got scored 153 and 156. Most guys only take them as add-on to the moose tag. Sometimes after we take a moose, then we'll go in on horseback or walk in for muleys. "

The outfitter operates out of a nice lodge in his main area. Sometimes he will fill all his permits and then will lease another outfitter's quota in a different area.
