An outfitter we've worked with for 15 years or more specializes in mule deer hunts on private land. He leases more than 250,000 private acres, which hold representative pronghorn antelope and some nice whitetail deer as well as lots of mature muley bucks. His hunter success rate is excellent. Most hunters took bucks 22 to 27 inches wide, and 25 to 30 of the deer taken in 2005 scored 155 to 170 B&C points. His prices vary according to the season.
