| This hunt offers a way to take a nice muskox without paying for extra charters from the time you get off the commercial flight at Cambridge Bay. Also, you'll have a good chance of taking a muskox big enough to make the SCI record book. The muskoxen in this area are known as the Greenland variety and typically weigh 200 pounds less than mainland animals.

Cambridge Bay on Victoria Island bills itself as the muskox capital of the world. Southern Victoria Island has a population of 30,000 of these ice age big game animals. On the entire island there are 45,000 muskoxen.

|

Muskoxen can frequently be seen just a few miles from town. You may not hunt within five miles of town so that tourists can see muskoxen.
On this hunt you'll stay in heated plywood cabins. The camps are about four to five hours from the village by snowmobile.Friday Return to Cambridge Bay, pay government trophy fee and fly on late afternoon flight. Arrive in Edmonton overnight.
