Here's an opportunity to hunt wild pheasant and bobwhite quail on two ranches in northwestern Kansas and southwestern Nebraska.
"There are lots and lots of birds," the leaseholder said. "I don't want to run a guided bird hunt, but I wanted to make my property available to hunters who want to do it on their own. I'll meet them, show them where to hunt, and they they can hunt three days on their own. They'll be able to take a daily limit of four ringnecks in Kansas plus another three in Nebraska. They can take eight quail in Kansas and a limit in Nebraska, too. There are also prairie chickens, and they can be hunted in season."
Accommodations are not included, but you can stay in a motel in Oberlin, Kansas, which is only 12 miles from the farm. The hunting area includes a mix of CRP fields, milo, corn, wheat, alfalfa and natural habitat.
