Giant Antelope in the Land of Enchantment

We've worked with this New Mexico outfitter since we began booking hunts in 1986. He offers a variety of hunts in different parts of the state.

His best trophy pronghorn hunt is in southwestern New Mexico and offers a realistic chance at a record-book buck most years. He has produced 11 bucks that scored at least 86 Boone and Crockett points. Guaranteed permits are included on this hunt.

He offers a standard pronghorn hunt in the northeast and southeast portions of the state, where there are a lot of very nice bucks that would compare favorably with the biggest bucks a person is likely to see on a typical Wyoming or Montana hunt. There's a chance to kill a great animal on the standard hunt, but most animals score 70 to 80 Boone and Crockett points. If you don't draw a tag on the standard hunt, the outfitter has landowner vouchers that are included in the price of the hunt.

Hunters who are impaired by physical handicaps according to the standards of the state of New Mexico are allowed to apply for tags in zones that have virtually untapped trophy potential. Anybody who can qualify is encouraged to apply for a permit through the outfitter.

Another great hunt put on by this outfitter is a blackpowder experience in the northern part of the state. The zone where this hunt takes place has a good number of big bucks. "Most hunters see a Boone and Crockett antelope on the muzzleloader hunt," the oufitter said. If you don't draw the blackpowder tag, you can guarantee yourself a permit for an additional fee.

Hunter success is typically 100 percent on all his hunts, including the muzzleloader hunt.
