| An outfitter with whom we've worked for a dozen years has a ranch in an area where antelope tags are easy to draw. He had 20 hunters apply for tags in 2002, and 18 of them drew permits. All 18 hunters shot a buck, 16 of them opening morning. Trophy size averaged 14 inches and ranged from 12 to 16 inches. The bucks should be big again in 2003 because the area experienced a mild winter. |
