Kansas river bottoms: Last spring 10 hunters took 16 gobblers, and one hunter missed. Most hunters bag two mature gobblers, sometimes taking a Rio Grande and an Eastern turkey. The landowner offers a three-day full service hunt on private land for two birds for $600. This includes lodging and meals. Mid-April to late May. Hunt TU662.
Nebraska farmer offers self-guided turkey hunt: If you're looking for a place to hunt gobblers this spring, consider this farm in northcentral Nebraska. The place holds turkeys along a hardwood-filled hollow between agricultural fields. A party of four hunters can have exclusive use of the place for $500 a man. Accommodations are available in a bed and breakfast owned by the farmer and his wife. Ask about Hunt TU402.
