Usually 100% with three to nine hunters per year. 8 for 8 in 2009 on bucks ranging from 150 to 176 B&C points. Only one year in the past seven was less than 100% due to extremely warm weather.	Average size from 2003-2008 was more than 155 except in 2006 when a small buck was shot by accident. Largest non-typical so far scored 231, largest typical so far scored in the high 180s.

November	This outfitter does well because his guides hunt hard, assign one guide per hunter and outfit in an area inhabited by many big bucks

This outfit has an excellent record of producing big whitetails since the two partners who run the company began taking hunters in 2003.

For several years they produced a 100 percent success rate. They went eight for eight again in 2009 with the biggest buck scoring 176 Boone and Crockett. In 2005 they had 13 hunters take

13 bucks with only one buck scoring less than 150 Boone and Crockett points. The two biggest scored 231 non-typical and 183 typical. In 2006 the average size dropped because a small buck was shot by accident when it switched places with a big buck while traveling behind cover. In 2007 the size shot up with several monsters being killed, including a 175 6/8, 183 and 186. Those were bucks were taken during a hunt that was being filmed for a TV show and nobody took any still pictures. Below are photos of the racks. The 2008 hunt was the outfit's toughest so far because of unusually warm weather. The average buck was in the 150s, but a Hunts.Net member, Ed Chaney of Tennessee, did not score even though he saw two bucks that he thought would make the all-time Boone and Crockett record book. The outfitter hunts in two ways. Customers who prefer to hunt from blinds are placed in pre-scouted locations, usually over cut blocks. Customers who prefer to cover country are driven through logging country, where they can glass cut blocks or act as standers in small drives.

"It used to be that we hardly ever saw whitetails in this area," the outfitter said. "But now we see tons of whitetails, and some great bucks, and we seldom see a mule deer where we hunt whitetails.

The hunt price includes accommodations in a nice log cabin. Meals are served at a lodge. Hunting takes place just north of Hinton. Airport pickup at Edmonton is included.
