Idaho outfitter offers high success trophy whitetail hunts |
This hunt takes place in northern Idaho, where the outfitter operates on both public land and more than 90 square miles of private land. He has maintained a hunter success rate of 95 to 100 percent the past several years. Most hunters take mature eight and 10-point bucks, which commonly score in the 130s, 140s and 150s and occasionally bigger. The season takes place during the rut, beginning Nov. 10 and running past the peak of rut into December. Expect to spot and stalk on this hunt, but there is also some ratting, grunting and hunting of scrape lines. You can take an extra buck by buying a second tag.

Note: Reduced prices for 2009. Pay 33% less than the prices quoted in the table. Now a three-day hunt is only $2,000, and a five-day hunt is $2,700. You can click on most photos to see larger images |
