It's not uncommon to see several hundred deer a day on this sprawling Montana ranch east of Billings. Though the property covers an amazing 140,000 acres, most of the deer are concentrated on about 5,000 acres of river bottoms and alfalfa fields, which are irrigated by pivot sprinklers. The outfitter takes four whitetail hunters per year with no more than two at a time. These hunts take place in November. You can be guaranteed a tag through the outfitter allocation. This is one of the few Montana ranches where hunting pressure is so light that bucks have a chance to attain maturity.
